Removing and installing control module box - AR54.20-P-1257C: Notes

Fig 1: Identifying Control Module Box Remove/Install Components

	Removal, installation
1	Disconnect ground lead from battery		AR54.10-P-0003A
2	Unscrew screws (1) and remove cover (2)	Installation:  Check condition and seat of cover gasket and replace, if necessary
3	Remove control modules from control module box (F23/1)	Engine control module (N3/4), relay module (K40), multi-function control module (N10-3), traction system control module (N47)	AR54.20-P-1257-01C
4	Remove module box blower motor (M2/2)
5	Remove cover below instrument panel (passenger side)		AR68.10-P-1520G
6	Carefully pull connection leads for control modules out into passenger footwell or component compartment	Disconnect wire passages to component compartment in control module box (F23/1). Disconnect inseparable wires such as electronic transmission control (ETC) at foot plate in passenger footwell
7	Remove nuts (3) and remove control module box (F23/1) from component compartment	Installation:  Check condition and seat of gasket for control module box (F23/1) and replace, if necessary
8	Reinstall in opposite order
