	Disassembling
1	Remove jacket tube		AR46.10-P-0400A
2	Remove cup seal (71c) from the lower steering shaft
3	Detach lower steering shaft (80a)	Model 129	AR46.10-P-0500-01C

	Inspecting
4	Check lateral runout of lower steering shaft (80a)	If necessary, if tolerance is exceeded ↓ Replace lower steering shaft (80a)	*BE46.10-P-1001-01A
5	Remove lower bracket (82)		AR46.10-P-0600-02A
6	Position height adjuster in center position
7	Remove motor (M20m2) responsible for the tilt adjustment
8	Remove motor (M20m1) responsible for the telescopic adjustment		AR46.10-P-0600-03A
9	Remove jacket tube thrust piece (83)	The jacket tube is equipped with 2 thrust pieces, spring packages and locking rings (83, 83a, 83b)	AR46.10-P-0600-04A
10	Remove bracket (85)
11	Unscrew cap screw (86) and remove the inner jacket tube from the outer jacket tube through the bottom
12	Disassemble inner jacket tube	Model 129	AR46.10-P-0500-02C

	Assembling
13	Reassemble inner jacket tube	Model 129	AR46.10-P-0500-02C

14	Grease inner jacket tube (81b) and insert into outer jacket tube from the bottom	The inner jacket tube must slide smoothly into the outer jacket tube.
		Long-life grease	*BR00.45-Z-1001-06A
15	Screw in guide bolt (86) and align the guide screw in the inner jacket tube (81b) with the cap screw		*BA46.10-P-1007-03A
16	Reinstall motor (M20m1) for the telescopic adjustment		AR46.10-P-0600-03A
17	Install thrust piece (83) with disk springs (83a) and fit new locking ring (83b)		AR46.10-P-0600-04A
18	Install upper bracket (85)	Model 129 up to VIN end no. 079 794 and 140 up to VIN end no. 123 446	AR46.10-P-0600-01A

19	Install lower bracket (82)	Ensure proper fit	AR46.10-P-0600-02A

22	Apply light coat of multi-purpose paste onto cup seal (71c)

23	Slide cup seal (71c) onto lower steering shaft
