When replacing a steering wheel, it is absolutely essential to pay attention to which optional equipment is installed:

2 brass contact rings = standard (horn tracks).
4 brass contact rings = airbag.
2 brass contact rings + 1 steering angle magnetic ring = 4MATIC, ADS.
4 brass contact rings + 1 steering angle magnetic ring = airbag, ADS, 4MATIC.

²⁾ All Mercedes Benz 390 mm dia. steering wheels may be fitted in vehicles with 400 mm dia. steering wheels.

³⁾ Steering wheels from outside manufacturers may only be fitted with a valid operating permit and TUV acceptance.
