3.1	Run engine until warm	Model 129.076, 163 Coolant temperature > 100 °C.
4.1	Switch off engine and wait 12 minutes	Type 129.076 Once the ignition is switched off at coolant temperatures > 100 °C the coolant circulation pump is switched on for 10 to 12 minutes to cool the engine. Model 163 After the engine has been switched off, the heating water circulation pump is switched on for 10 minutes at coolant temperatures > 100°C to cool the engine.

7	Switch off all consumers	Remove ignition key, Switch off stationary heater, Switch off car telephone, Switch off radio (except model 163 with MB Audio 10 RDS radio with CD drawer, code 756), Switch off interior protection, Switch off make-up mirror and reading lamp, Turn exterior lamp switch into position "0", Close doors, the interior lights must go out automatically after a few seconds.

		If the specified value is not attained on the quiescent current test, then the quiescent current test should be carried out again after eliminating the fault.

10.1	Carry out reference test of quiescent current consumption	Model 163 with MB Radio Audio 10 RDS with CD drawer only, code 756  : on vehicle with extreme suspicion of an increased quiescent current and correct result of quiescent current consumption, a reference test of the quiescent current consumption must be carried out. Whilst retaining the adjustments for the reference test described in step 9.1, the quiescent current must have fallen by 600 mA after 20 minutes at the latest. If the quiescent current does not drop but remains at the same level: ↓	AR54.10-P-1030-03AB
