Replace self-locking nuts |

Remove tie rod (10) on steering idler arm (26) |

Remove drag link (11) on steering idler arm (26) |

Remove heat shield (26h) |
|

Unscrew nut (26b). Pull out bolt (26a) and remove steering idler arm (26) together with bearing tube (26i) |

Use a screwdriver to raise sealing lip. Take slide bushing out of the bearing tube (26i) |

Use extractor (061) to pull out rubber friction bearing (26f) |

Installation:
Pull in the rubber friction bearing all the way using the insertion tool (062) |

The steering idler arm is adjusted in a defined position "a" = 22.7 mm on the bearing tube (26i) |
The adjusted position may be changed by a maximum of 5 mm by correcting the ball point position. If the specified ball point position is not reached within this adjustment range the bearing tube/front axle carrier is deformed |
