Surface protection of bolted connection, steering gear to front axle carrier modified - BT46.20-P-0002-01A

MODEL 140 as of 1.6.97 

Phased in as of approx. 06/97, the surface protection of the steering gear bolts on the front axle carrier have been changed over to Dacromet. The color of these bolts is silver or blue. Previously the color of the bolts was yellow (high-polished galvanized).

The tightening torque for the old and new bolts has been standardized. Therefore the bolts should only be tightened with initial torque  and angle of rotation. 

Initially tighten the bolts to the initial torque of 50 Nm  and then tighten with the angle of rotation of 60° to 90°.
