| 1 | Release fuel pressure through service valve at fuel rail | see Diagnosis Manual Engine, Volume 2, Index 3.1 |

| 2 | Disconnect all the electrical connectors of the cables which run via the fuel rail to the intake manifold | ||
| 3 | Disconnect vacuum pipe for brake servo unit | ||
| 4 | Detach hoses for crankcase ventilation | ||
| 5 | Detach vacuum hose of diaphragm pressure regulator | ||
| 6 | Disconnect fuel feed pipe (17/3) and return pipe (17/2) | ||
| 7 | Unplug couplings (arrow) | ||
| 8 | Remove screws (16) | ||
| 9 | Pull fuel rail (17) together with injection valves out of intake manifold | Cover over holes for injection valves | |
| 10 | Replace O-rings (16/8) | ||
| 11 | Examine insulating sleeves | If necessary, after examining: ↓ | |
| Remove insulating sleeves or rubber rings (for injection valves), install | AR07.03-P-6570E | ||
| Testing | |||
| 12 | Test fuel injection valves (Y62) | see Diagnosis Manual Engine, Volume 2, Index 3.1 If necessary, after testing: ↓ |

| Remove injection valves, replace, install | AR07.03-P-6521E | ||
| 13 | Install in the reverse order |
