	Removal, installation
	Risk of explosion  from ignition. Risk of poisoning  from inhaling and swallowing fuel. Risk of injury  as a result of fuel coming into contact with skin and eyes.	No fire, naked flame or smoking. Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.	AS47.00-Z-0001-01A
1	Remove exhaust system from flange connection	Installation:  Model 202.028 E 36 AMG: pay attention to installation position and suspension of rear muffler, see ↓

2	Place new rear muffler (9a) with plug connection exactly over the removed exhaust system and mark length of pipe of new rear muffler on the removed exhaust system
3	Cut through the pipe 80 mm from the marking (tolerance minus 10 mm) in direction of rear muffler so as to ensure an insertion depth of 70 - 80 mm	If center muffler faulty, the center and rear muffler unit must be replaced complete
4	Install in reverse sequence	Use exhaust pipe clamp (7/2) When attaching the exhaust system, ensure that the projection "a" of the bracket at the rear muffler is not more than 3 - 5 mm at the rubber mount (18) (see fig.) when exhaust is cold
