Disconnection/connection notes for electrical connectors - ra54001400010x(0010)

Model 140 

Connectors of electronic accelerator pedal or Tempomat cruise control M16/1x1, M16/2x1, M16/3x1 at right front wheelhouse and M16/4x1 at left front wheelhouse. 

Unplugging 

  1. Press back detent hook with screwdriver; when doing this, hold cover of connector tight and turn to the left.
    NOTE: Turning the cover is assisted by the integral spring.

  2. Take off connector.

Plugging together 

  1. Fit on connector and turn cover to the right against the spring force until the detent hook engages.

Engine separation point X26/2 at right front wheelhouse. 

Unplugging 

  1. Turn over locking bar in direction of arrow as far as the stop.
  2. Take off connector.

Plugging together 

  1. Fit on connector.
  2. Turn over locking bar in direction of arrow as far as stop (b).

Connector, starter harness X27 

Unplugging 

  1. Pull off rubber grommet (arrow) below the vehicle on the right of the firewall.
  2. Unscrew union nut and unplug connector.

  3. Unclip connector (arrow) in right front footwell.

Plugging together 

  1. Clip in connector (arrow) in right front footwell.
  2. Plug in connector on underside of vehicle and screw on union nut.
  1. Fit on rubber grommet (arrow) below the vehicle on the right of the firewall.

Connector, emergency tensioning retractor/airbag X11/7, X11/13 in front right footwell Unplugging 

  1. Push locking bar in direction of arrow as far as the stop (a).
  2. Take off connector.

Plugging together 

  1. Fit on connector so that the markings A and B on the locking bar and on the connector housing are lined up. P54-5141-13
  2. Push locking bar in direction of arrow as far as the stop (b).

Connector, door separation point X35/1, X35/2 at A pillar 

Unplugging 

  1. Use screwdriver to press out locking bar for the respective row of connectors or couplings approx. 5 mm in direction of arrow.
  2. Pull out connector or connector.

Plugging together 

  1. Plug in coupling or connector.
  2. Press in locking bar.

Connector, door separation point X35/3, X35/4 at B pillar 

Unplugging 

  1. Take off cover.
  2. Turn connector 180° to the left with special tool 140 589 00 09 00.
  3. Take off connector.

Plugging together 

  1. Fit on connector and turn 180° to the right with special tool 140 589 00 09 00.
  2. Fit on cover.
