Remove/install operating/display unit with control module - AR82.85-P-7472K

MODEL 208 with CODE (352a) COMAND operating, display and control module

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Connect quiescent current retention unit   AR54.10-P-1030-07I
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS *WH58.30-Z-1012-09A 
DANGER Risk of explosion  from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  from caustic burns to eyes and skin from battery electrolyte or from handling damaged lead acid batteries. No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. Wear acid-protective gloves, clothing and eye protection. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
2 Disconnect ground cable of battery   AR54.10-P-0003A
NOTES Notes on battery All models AH54.10-P-0001-01A
3 Insert removal tool (1) into the recess clearance IMPORTANT With the flattened handle ring facing upwards (arrow).
IMPORTANT Until they audibly snap into place.
 
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS *WH58.30-Z-1008-19A 
4 Remove COMAND operating, display display and control module (A40/3)    
5 Disconnect couplings    
6 Disconnect fiber optic cable connector (D2B) NOTES Do not kink or stretch D2B fiber optic cable.  
    IMPORTANT Install caps on fiber optic cable connector and equipment connection. Refer to: ↓  
    Covering fiber optic cable AR82.95-P-0005-01A 
NOTES Notes on fiber optic cable Models 129, 168, 170, 202, 203, 208, 210, 215, 220, 463. AH82.70-P-0001-02A 
7 Unlatch removal tool (1) IMPORTANT Insert screwdriver into one of the release holes (arrow).  
8 Install in the reverse order    
9 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase Stored faults which can result from cables being disconnected or from simulation during removal and installation or test work, have to be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.
