Attaching and adjusting control cables - AR46.15-P-0550-05C
Attaching and checking
- Attach compression nipple of control cables (93a) in the upper row of clips of the drivers and connect to the tension spring (93f) (control cables are the same length).
- Adjust control cable (93c) at the knurled nut (93m) so that the ball (94l) initially contacts the lever (94a) of the hydraulic cylinder without any tension. Then preload the control cable by continuing to turn the knurled nut until the ball contacts the lever (94a) lightly
- Pull handle (95) up to the stop (arrow) so that the locking lever of the latching mechanism (94a) locks in position.
The thrust pieces must detach satisfactorily when released and the valve in the hydraulic cylinder must be open so that the inner jacket tube can be moved
- Checking adjustment and function:
Secure handle (95). Raise locking lever (95c) and slowly guide back handle up to the stop (arrow). There must then be some slack in the cable. Shift the driver if necessary without turning the thrust pieces so that the control cable (93c) is slackened on both sides and there is still slight slack in the cable.
Adjusting or correcting , if there is no slack in the cable on the test.
- Press driver (92a) off the thrust piece (92b).
Ensure that both thrust pieces are not misadjusted when pulling off.
