Test 2: Instrument Cluster Illumination

Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector No. 1 from back of instrument cluster. See Figure . Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Turn parking lights on. Measure voltage between terminals No. 19 and 24 at instrument cluster harness connector No. 1. If battery voltage exists, voltage supply to instrument cluster illumination circuit is okay at this time. If battery voltage does not exist, check wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If wiring is okay, replace dimmer switch.
