Removing and installing engine hood hinges - AR88.40-P-3060E

MODEL 202 

Illustrated with front fender removed

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removal, installation     
1 Open engine hood IMPORTANT Move engine hood to upright position AR88.40-P-1000E 
2 Remove engine hood   AR88.40-P-3000E 
3 Remove inner fender in front fender   AR88.10-P-1300E 
4 Mark installation position of engine hood hinge on wheelhouse panel IMPORTANT This facilitates installation  
5 Unclip electric lead and water hose on left hinge arm    
6 Screw off nuts (5) TORQUE SPECIFICATION
IMPORTANT Position engine hood hinge in "upright" position to relieve load on gas-operated strut
*BA88.40-P-1002-01A 
7 Remove engine hood hinge (1) from wheelhouse panel IMPORTANT Gas-operated strut can be removed and installed separately or together with the engine hood hinge  
8 Remove gas-operated strut (7) by raising retainer (8, arrow) When gas-operated strut is replaced ↓  
    Release gas and drain oil in old gas-operated strut OS00.00-P-1001-01A
9 Reinstall in opposite order
