Removing and installing outside temperature indicator sensor - AR54.30-P-6341EA

MODEL 202, 210 up to 30.5.96 with CODE (240a) Outside temperature indicator 

IMPORTANT The figure shows the routing of the wires in the model 202 sedan. The schematic for the wire routing and location of the components is also applicable for model 210 and the T-model.

REMOVING Removal    
REFER TO BASIC KNOWLEDGE Outside temperature indicator sensor Location / Function   GF54.30-P-4104A 
1 Disconnect ground lead from battery NOTES On model 210 insulate the ground lead with cable terminal to prevent unintentional contact between disconnected ground lead and ground point W10 AR54.10-P-0003A 
2 Unclip fuse boxes or fuse blocks in fuse and relay box (F1) and remove    
3 Remove cover below instrument panel (driver's side) Model 202 AR68.10-P-1500E
    Model 210 AR68.10-P-1500F
4 Remove instrument cluster (A1)   AR54.30-P-6015EA 
5.1 Open installation flap for left fog lamp Model 210  
6.1 Unclip outside temperature indicator temperature sensor (B14) below front bumper and tie back Model 202
IMPORTANT Wiring harness with temperature sensor remains in vehicle
 
6.2 Unclip outside temperature indicator temperature sensor (B14) in installation compartment for left fog lamp and tie back Model 210
IMPORTANT Wiring harness with temperature sensor remains in vehicle
 
7 Open 21-pin or 25-pin connector (1) for instrument cluster (A1), disconnect coding section A (wire color code A1 green and A2 brown) from connector strip, insulate and tie back    
INSTALLING Installation     
8 Guide wiring harness (2) for new outside temperature indicator temperature sensor (B14) through fuse and relay box (F1), route parallel to left headlamp wiring harness and fasten    
9 Clip in outside temperature indicator temperature sensor (B14) IMPORTANT On model 202 tie excess length on new wiring harness back into wiring duct and on model 210 tie back into installation compartment for left fog lamp  
10.1 Close installation flap for left fog lamp Model 210  
11 Connect coding section A (wire color code A1 green and A2 brown) to connector strip and close 21-pin or 25-pin connector    
12 Reinstall instrument cluster (A1)   AR54.30-P-6015EA 
13 Reinstall cover below instrument panel Model 202 AR68.10-P-1500E
    Model 210 AR68.10-P-1500F
14 Clip fuse boxes or fuse blocks into fuse and relay box (F1)    
15 Reconnect ground lead to battery   AR54.10-P-0003A
