Preparing test with quiescent current retention device - AR54.10-P-1030-01AB

1. Connect quiescent current retention device (7) as follows:
   • Connect positive lead terminal (+) to positive pole on battery.
   • Connect negative terminal (-) to battery ground (W10).
2. Switch on quiescent current retention device (7).

3. Disconnect negative pole terminal (1) on battery.
4. Connect multimeter (2) as follows using "electrical connection set":
   • Connect positive (+) test cable to battery negative lead (1).
   • Connect negative (-) test cable to battery negative pole (3).

5. Switch on multimeter (2) (amperes range).
6. Switch off quiescent current retention device (7) and disconnect.
7. Route test cable (6) to right out of trunk or cargo area.
8. Close trunk lid.
