The bolts (1f) are self-tapping, so the following points must be observed:
- Never
recut the thread in the longitudinal member
- Replace bolts
- Use only original bolts (4 x)
- Do not position bolts at angle when screwing in
- Do not use an impact bolt tightener
- Observe tightening torque

Lower front axle carrier (1), moving out the steering coupling and pushing all hoses to one side |
Removal: Do not use force
(blows from a hammer, severe leverage) on steering coupling (25). If necessary, expand clamping groove slightly with a screwdriver.
Installation:
Contact surfaces of front axle carrier to longitudinal member must be cleaned and flat. Insert locating pins (arrows) at front axle carrier into the holes in the longitudinal member when fitting on. |
