- Do not use force (hammer blows, severe a leverage), expand the clamping slot slightly with a screwdriver if necessary.
- Only separate the connection after removing a the fanfare horns and airbag clock spring contact.

Installation
: Attach all bolts and nuts (it must still be possible to move the jacket tube), then tighten the upper bolts first. |

Installation:
Pay attention to the straight-ahead position of the jacket tube (triggering lug must point towards the combination switch) and steering gear.
Lower steering shaft (80a) with light-alloy sliding tube (4-cylinder engines)
Do not use light-alloy steering shaft as a separation point as:
- The position of the inner slide in relation to a the outer slide is determined by a slightly offset tooth and therefore must not be assembled using force.
- It must be possible to move the inner slide a easily in the longitudinal direction, refer to: ↓
