Detaching console from jacket tube and attaching - AR46.10-P-0600-10A

Jacket tube

Removal 

1. Unscrew fixing bolts (87d) with disc springs (87c) and tapered screws (82a).
2. Console (87) from jacket tube.

   Installation 

3. If necessary, press plastic washers (87a) and metal ring (87b) into console (87).
4. Insert bushes (87b) in the lower mount. Push on console (87) over the jacket tube.
5. Screw in tapered screws (82a) until they abut. Ensure that the jacket tube seats centrally.

   Adjusting friction value of lower mount: 

   Adjust the friction value of mount by tightening the tapered screws (82a) evenly in stages, swivelling the jacket tube up/down and to the left/right (see arrows) in the console.

   The friction value is correctly adjusted when it is possible to move the jacket tube up and down easily and no play is detectable when it is moved to the left and right.

   

   If the mount is adjusted too tight, the tilt adjustment motor does not run or only with difficulty.

6. Fit hexagon bolts (87d).
