Test 15: Headrest Switch Resistance

Disconnect appropriate power seat control module harness connector No. 1. See Figure. Measure resistance between harness connector terminals No. 4 and 12. When power seat switch is in headrest up position, approximately 169 ohms should exist. In headrest down position, approximately 75 ohms should exist. In neutral position, greater than 20 k/ohms should exist. If resistance is as specified, headrest switch resistance is okay at this time. If resistance is not as specified, check wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If wiring is okay, replace power seat switch.
