The EGR [ARF] vacuum transducer (Y31/1) is actuated by the engine control unit with a variable current.

• Signal from control unit: 

  Controlled vacuum to connection (3)

• No signal from control unit: 

  Connection (1) and (3) connected - EGR valve closed (ventilated)
