NOTES 1 Position piston of cylinder 1 to ignition TDC NOTES Rotate engine at crankshaft.
Do not crank engine backwards. 
 
7 Chain tensioner Remove chain tensioner completely.
IMPORTANTInstallation: 
Only replace the chain tensioner as a complete unit.
Replace sealing ring (8).
Before installing, fill chain tensioner with engine oil. Position chain tensioner with thrust pin facing down in engine oil until it is over the collar on the hexagon. Use a press or column drill to slowly depress thrust pin fully 7-10 times.
IMPORTANT After filling, it must be possible to compress the chain tensioner only quite slowly, evenly and with considerable force.
