Design The E 50 AMG has a brake system with 4 internally-ventilated brake discs.
The brake force is transmitted to stud-type brake discs on the front axle. These are connected to the brake disc chamber via a ring of 12 high-tensile special steel pins (arrow), thus saving weight.
In addition the friction ring cools down more quickly, remains dimensionally stable and transmits significantly less heat to the brake disc chamber, wheel bearings and sensors.
