Function sequence
When the rear window defroster button is pressed, a voltage coded signal is sent to the signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM, N10/1). The signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM, N10/1) sends a CAN message "Rear window defroster ON" to the PSE control module (combined, A37). The relay for the rear window defroster integrated into the PSE control module (A37) is actuated.
Simultaneously the signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM, N10/1) switches on the LED in the push-button. When the push-button is pressed again the message from the signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM, N10/1) to the PSE control module (A37) and to the LED in the push-button is interrupted.
A time delay switch-off is accomplished after approx. 12 min., which is controlled by the signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM, N10/1).
