Function
When one of the mirror adjustment switches (N72s6, N72s7) in the lower control field control module (N72) is actuated the outside mirrors (M21/6, M21/7) are adjusted to the desired position.
Three outdoor mirror positions can be stored and selected with the memory keys on the power seat switch (S91/2). In addition a seat position dependent "park position" can be stored for the passenger side outdoor mirror.
Function sequence
The desired adjustment for the outside mirrors is transferred from the lower control field control module (N72) to the corresponding door control module (N69/1, N69/2) as a CAN message. The door control module (N69/1, N69/2) controls the associated outside mirror motor by means of a direct line.
The voltage coded memory signal from the power seat switch (S91/2) is read into the front driver-side door control module (N69/1). The front driver-side door control module (N69/1) controls the driver-side outdoor mirror (M21/6) directly and sends a CAN message to the front passenger-side door control module (N69/2) in parallel. The front passenger-side door control module (N69/2) controls the passenger-side outdoor mirror (M21/7) directly.
When the transmission is shifted into reverse a signal is sent from the reverse lamp switch (S16/2) to the lower control field control module (N72). The lower control field control module (N72) sends a CAN message "reverse gear engaged" to the front passenger-side door control module (N69/2) which moves the passenger-side outside mirror to the stored parking position.
The parking position function is possible only when the left/right outside mirror switch-over (N72s8) is pressed.
The parking position function can be deactivated with the HHT.
