Pneumatic system equipment, general notes on diagnosis, advanced information, PSE - AD80.20-P-2000-02B

The pneumatic system equipment makes vacuum or pressure available for the following systems:

Central locking (CL), (pressure, vacuum)
- actuation via radio frequency/IR remote central locking, interior switch (CL), Halso possible with mechanical key.
Remote trunk release (RTR), (pressure)
- actuation via remote trunk release switch or via radio frequency/IR remote control (RTR not on models 202/210 T-model).
Retractable rear head restraints (RHR), (vacuum)
- actuation via rear head restraint release switch (RHR not on models 202/210 T-model).
Multi-contour seat (MCS), (pressure)
- the operating pressure is controlled solely via the pressure switch in the pneumatic system equipment, as soon as the ignition ON signal is received via the CAN interface.
Manifold vacuum assist (MVA), (vacuum) (MVA on model 210 only)
- the operating pressure is controlled solely via the pressure switch in the pneumatic system equipment, as soon as the ignition ON signal is received via the CAN interface.

Fault memory

Pneumatic and electrical faults in the systems (CL, RTR, RHR, MCS, MVA) are detected by the pneumatic system equipment and stored in the fault memory. The fault memory can only be read out and erased using the Hand-Held Tester.
