Convenience feature (CF) notes on fault memory - AD80.45-P-2000-05A

IMPORTANT The fault memory can only be read out using the Hand-held Tester.

The fault codes for a system may be stored in several control modules. For this reason, please read out the fault memory of all the relevant control modules.

When reading out the fault memory, all the faults stored in the control module are displayed, i.e. fault codes may appear that do not relate to the system that is currently being read out.

Faults that do not relate to the system are described in the respective system description.

Error code note

Only the listed error codes relate to the convenience feature system.

The fault code of current faults is shown in the display on black background.

Depending on the type of fault, detailed information or parts thereof are displayed for most faults:

>Ω Resistance too low

<Ω Resistance too high

SHORT-CIRCUIT TO POSITIVE Short circuit to plus

SHORT-CIRCUIT TO GROUND Short circuit to minus

OPEN-CIRCUIT Cable break

Other information such as fault frequencies can also be read out for some fault codes.
