Demagnetizing the vehicle - AR82.85-P-7392A

MODEL 140 with CODE (350a) Information and communication system (ICS) 

MODEL 140 with CODE (351) Auto-pilot-system (APS)

DANGER The demagnetizing coil presents a lethal hazard  for persons with active electronic implants (e.g. heart pacemakers). Persons with such electronic implants should not work with the demagnetizing coil or remain in the vicinity when such work is being performed. AS82.85-Z-0001-01A
1 Connect demagnetizing coil to line power in workshop COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS *WH58.30-Z-1004-09A 
  Demagnetizing tires     
2 Hoist vehicle to demagnetize tires IMPORTANT After hoisting move shift lever to idle position or selector lever to position "N". Release parking brake.  
3 Press button on demagnetizing coil, demagnetize tire tread and bead NOTES During the demagnetizing operation never switch off the demagnetizing coil.
IMPORTANT Hold demagnetizing coil directly in front of tire tread and slowly turn wheel by hand 360° (1 wheel rotation). Then move demagnetizing coil outward to tire bead, circle tire bead 10 to 20 times with wheel stationary and then continue to move coil in circular motion while moving away from tire approx. 1 m
 
  Demagnetizing following welding work     
4 Press button on demagnetizing coil and demagnetize area welded NOTES During the demagnetizing operation never switch off the demagnetizing coil.
IMPORTANT Circle area welded 10 to 15 times with demagnetizing coil in then continue to move coil in circular motion while moving away from welding point approx. 1 m
 
5 Press button on demagnetizing coil and demagnetize vehicle roof on left and right in area of electronic compass Circle left and right vehicle roof 10 to 15 times with demagnetizing coil and then continue to move coil in circular motion while moving away from vehicle roof approx. 1 m  
  Completing demagnetization     
6 Separate demagnetizing coil from line power in workshop    
7 Calibrate compass IMPORTANT Models 140, 210.037 with APS
IMPORTANT Model 210 as of 01.06.96 and retrofitted,
