Only carry out work steps 1 to 7 if the seals have been damaged during removal.

Insert seal (1) and move marking (arrow) to door frame (use wipe-off pen).
Remove seal (1) for rear vent window again.

Separate seal (1) in the center (arrow).
Only the outer part of the seal is required.

Ensure the cut edge is clean and straight in the area around the window land.
Shorten area (A) on triangular seal if necessary.

Insert seal (2) and ensure it is correctly seated (arrow).
Cut out center land (B) of seal (2) up to the marking on the window frame.

Stick on inner part of seal (2) with profile rubber glue (arrows).

Fill seal (2) with "Terolan 3200" sealing compound up to marking on the door frame.
Fill rear corner (arrow) with "Terolan 3200" sealing compound.

Stick self-adhesive foam strips (3) onto retaining bracket (4)
The retaining bracket (4) is a two-piece design on the B6 version.
Insert window (5) in the door frame towards the B-pillar and push up fully.
Center the window (5) and clamp with a suitable tool or with the aid of a second person.
Insert retaining bracket (4) and secure with microencapsulated bolts (6).
Use new bolts
Clamp window (5) lightly against window frame using the bolt (7). Lock with nut (8).

Insert seal (1), adjust to fit neatly and mark the window (arrows). Remove the seal (1) again.

Draw a perpendicular line on the window.
Draw parallel line at a distance of 24 mm (towards the B-pillar).
Mask off with adhesive tape and coat area in between with black glass primer.
Drying time approx. 30 minutes.

Insert seal (1) and adjust to fit.
Align center land of seal (1) and attach to window with MB special adhesive.
Attach rubber pads (9) at equal distances on the black area using quick-drying adhesive.
The rubberpads have to be shop-made (4 mm high).
Apply "Beta Seal" sealing compound between the seal (1) and rubber pad (9).

Adjust trim strip (10) (shorten at bottom edge if necessary).
Glue trim strip (10) firmly onto rubber pad using quick-drying adhesive.
Cut out seal (2) in the area of the rubber pad and cut in at the top corner (arrow).
Only if a new seal has been fitted
Apply "Beta Seal" adhesive compound between the window and trim strip (10).
Insert seal (2).
If necessary affix with quick-drying adhesive (arrow).

Attach window sealing compound between the window and seal (1).
Fill window channel with "Terolan 3200" sealing compound (arrows).
