Function

There are four different adjustment possibilities for the power windows:

The power window switches in the rear doors can be locked out as previously with the rear power window safety switch (N72s5).

Function sequence

Power window actuation via lower control field control module (N72)

The desired adjustment for the power windows can be transmitted to the associated door control module from the lower control field control module (N72) via the CAN data bus. This controls the associated power window motor.

Power window actuation with power window switches in rear doors

The switches in the rear doors directly control the rear door control modules (N69/3, N69/4).

Rear power window safety switch (N72s5)

When the child safety switch is deactivated the lower control field control module (N72) sends a message "rear power windows released" via the CAN bus. When this message is read in by the rear door control modules (N69/3, N69/4), the windows can be operated with the rear power window switches (S21/2, S21/4).
