Position measurement of steering column adjustment motors, function - GF46.15-P-3000A

MODEL 210.081 /281, 210 (except 210.081 /281) as of 1.3.97 with CODE (275a) Memory package (driver's seat, steering column, mirrors)

Up to 6/98:

There is a potentiometer for position measurement in both the telescopic adjustment motor (in/out) (M20m1)  and tilt adjustment motor (up/down) (M20m2)  .

The voltage at the potentiometer depends on the position of the steering column. This voltage is read in by the driver-side seat adjustment control module (N32/1)  .

As of 6/98:

The potentiometers used to determine position were replaced with Hall sensors. The Hall sensor pulses are read in by the driver-side seat adjustment control module (N32/1)  , tested for plausibility and counted in the position counter for position measurement. The Hall pulses received are evaluated as either positive or negative according to the actuation voltage of the motor.

IMPORTANT

Norming is not necessary.
