General 

An attempt should be made to restore the cable protection to its original condition after all repairs to wiring harnesses.

In areas exposed to particularly high stresses (e.g. dampness, scouring), additional safety precautions may however be required.

Depending on the application involved, the following measures should be performed.

• Protection of repair area with heat-shrinkable tube
• Protection of repair point by corrugated hose.
• Protect repair point by wrapping fabric tape around it.
• Protection of repair point with a bougie hose.
