Removal |

Open trunk lid |
|

| 2 |
Unscrew screws (4) on trunk lid lock |
|

| 3 |
Remove trunk lid lock (1) from trunk lid |
|
|
| 4 |
Disconnect electric lead to plug connection (5) and line for central locking system (6) on trunk lid lock |
|
|
| 5 |
Separate catch housing (3) from lock cylinder housing (2) by lifting catch (7, arrow) and moving lock cylinder housing out |
|

| 6 |
Unscrew screws (9) and remove striker eye (10) from rear center assembly |
|
|
 |
Installation |
|
|
| 7 |
Assemble catch housing (3) and lock cylinder housing (2) |
Catch (7) must engage |
|
| 8 |
Press plug on wiring harness for trunk lid lock into plug connection (5) until it catches |
|
|
| 9 |
Connect line for central locking system (6) onto central locking element on trunk lid lock |
|
|
| 10 |
Install trunk lid lock (1) in trunk lid |
When installing trunk lid lock ensure that seal is seated properly, replace seal if damaged |

| 11 |
Screw in screws (4) and align trunk lid lock so that lock cylinder housing (2) is positioned uniformly in the center of the seal (8) and the edge of the lock cylinder housing is parallel to the trunk lid |

Tighten screws (4) |

| 13 |
Install striker eye (10) in rear center assembly |

| 14 |
Screw in screws (9), tighten only slightly and align striker eye (10) centered in relation to catch for trunk lid lock |
|
|
| 15 |
Adjust height of striker eye (10) so that edges of trunk lid and fenders are flush and trunk lid can be closed easily |
|
|
| 16 |
Tighten screws (9) |

Check trunk lid fit in relation to rear fenders |
