Multi-contour seat (MCS), testing pneumatics - AD80.20-P-8004B

MODEL 202 as of 1.6.97, 208, 210.081 /281, 210 as of 1.3.97

IMPORTANT If the system is not working properly, even though no leakage is detected, check line concerned for kinks and blockage.    
IMPORTANT Permissible leakage in complete system for each circuit at pressure of 600 mbar in 1 minute: ≤ 30 mbar    
INSPECT Testing     
1 Complete system, multi-contour seat, testing pneumatics, MCS Selecting height of lower air cushion
IMPORTANT
  1. Expose PSE control module (combined) (A37) and disconnect pneumatic line for multi-contour seat, MCS  connection on pneumatic system equipment.
  2. Connect tester with plug 202 805 04 44 at socket where pneumatic line was disconnected.

    Rubber hose, 50 mm 007 997 61 82  
    Pneumatic line, 1 m 000 158 14 35  
2 Complete system, multi-contour seat, testing pneumatics, MCS Selecting height of upper air cushion
IMPORTANT
  1. Expose PSE control module (combined) (A37) and disconnect pneumatic line for multi-contour seat, MCS  connection on pneumatic system equipment.
  2. Connect tester with plug 202 805 04 44 at socket where pneumatic line was disconnected.

    Pneumatic line, 1 m 000 158 14 35  
3 Complete system, multi-contour seat, testing pneumatics, MCS Lateral support
IMPORTANT
  1. Expose PSE control module (combined) (A37) and disconnect pneumatic line for multi-contour seat, MCS  connection on pneumatic system equipment.
  2. Connect tester with plug 202 805 04 44 at socket where pneumatic line was disconnected.

4 Complete system, multi-contour seat, testing pneumatics, MCS Squab length
IMPORTANT
  1. Expose PSE control module (combined) (A37) and disconnect pneumatic line for multi-contour seat, MCS  connection on pneumatic system equipment.
  2. Connect tester with plug 202 805 04 44 at socket where pneumatic line was disconnected.

    Pneumatic line, 1 m 000 158 14 35  
5 Line with pressure supply reservoir, testing pneumatics, MCS IMPORTANT
  1. Connect tester with plug, part no. 202 805 04 44, to gray color-coded pneumatic line which leads to pressure supply reservoir under rear squab or to control valve.

  • When testing the pneumatic line with pressure supply reservoir, seal the pneumatic lines to the control valves.
  • When testing the pneumatic line with control valve, close off pneumatic line at supply reservoir and seal with sealing plug Reconnect disconnected pneumatic lines to distributor with rubber hose part no. 007 997 61 82.

    Rubber hose, 50 mm 007 997 61 82  
    Plug 202 805 04 44  
    Rubber cap 000 987 11 45  
    Sealing plug 124 805 02 44  
6 Line with control valve, testing pneumatics, MCS IMPORTANT
  1. Connect tester with plug, part no. 202 805 04 44, to gray color-coded pneumatic line which leads to pressure supply reservoir under rear squab or to control valve.

  • When testing the pneumatic line with pressure supply reservoir, seal the pneumatic lines to the control valves.
  • When testing the pneumatic line with control valve, close off pneumatic line at supply reservoir and seal with sealing plug Reconnect disconnected pneumatic lines to distributor with rubber hose part no. 007 997 61 82.

    Sealing plug 124 805 02 44  
7 Control valve, multi-contour seat, testing pneumatics, MCS IMPORTANT
  1. Connect tester at separation point below the seat.

  1. Connect tester to one end of pneumatic line and seal other end with rubber cap part no. 000 987 11 45
