Preparing test without quiescent current retention unit - AR54.10-P-1030-02AC

1. Loosen negative pole terminal on battery.

   Do not disconnect negative pole terminal!

2. Prepare multimeter (2) for test using "Electrical connection set".
3. Open window in right rear door.
4. Position test lead (6) for multimeter (2) through open window in rear door into passenger compartment.

5. Remove cover on battery ground (W10).
6. Connect positive (+) test cable from multimeter to battery ground point (W10).
7. Switch on multimeter (mode, amps DC).
8. Carefully pull negative terminal (1) on battery up and simultaneously connect negative (-) test cable from multimeter to negative pole (3) below pole terminal.

   Do not interrupt circuit when pulling negative pole terminal off to avoid erasing any faults stored. Completely disconnect negative pole terminal only after multimeter test lead is connected to negative pole well.

9. Close right rear door.
