	Disconnect, connect
	Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. 1	Withdraw ignition key
2	Detach assembly flap on left stowage box (1) in load compartment	Remove the screws (arrows).
3	Detach side lining (2) carefully	The side lining (2) is stuck on.	*BR00.45-Z-1002-02A
4	Detach battery cover (3)	For this purpose, unscrew bolts (4)

5	Detach battery ground (W10) from the battery (G1)	If necessary, connect quiescent current retention unit.

6	Unscrew bolts (5) and remove assembly flap (6) from stowage box in right of load compartment	Only for vehicles with additional battery 100 Ah incl. cutoff relay, code E26.
7	Detach ground (additional battery) (W10/4) from the additional battery (G1/3)	Only for vehicles with additional battery 100 Ah incl. cutoff relay, code E26. If necessary, connect quiescent current retention unit.

8	Connect in the reverse order.
9	code radio	See owner's manual.
10	Set the time on the instrument cluster and if necessary set the time on the stationary heater timer
