Removing and installing three way catalytic converter or front exhaust system - AR49.10-P-5531D

ENGINE 104 in MODEL 124, 129, 140, 202

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removal, installation     
1 Replace self-locking nuts and gaskets. Ensure gaskets and flanges are correctly installed Use emery cloth to clean off combustion and corrosion residues at connection points if necessary  
2 Disconnect connectors (arrows) for oxygen sensor    
3 Replace rivet nuts in exhaust manifold Replace if necessary AR49.10-P-5531-01DA 
4 Remove threaded plate NOTES Installation ↓  
    Pay attention to installation of threaded plate

AH49.10-P-9409-01A 
5 Install in reverse sequence IMPORTANT A shield as heat insulation is attached additionally to the catalytic converter for Nordic countries and Switzerland.
JAPAN ONLY Pay attention to TWC thermocouple
