Drive Shaft: Installation

  1. Reconnect drive shaft coupling to differential flange. Temporarily snug drive shaft intermediate bearing bracket bolts to frame floor. Tighten drive shaft clamping lock nut to 22-30 ft. lbs. (30-40 N.m).
  2. Tighten drive shaft intermediate bearing bracket-to-frame bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 N.m). Reinstall shielding and exhaust system as necessary. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
