Complaint:
Oil loss in area around plug socket
Always check oil level in automatic transmission before carrying out repair work.
| Possible cause | Remedy |
|---|---|
| O-rings deformed | Install new O-rings |
| Intermediate connector deformed | Install new intermediate connector |
| The shell is not fitted correctly on the shift valve housing. The connector is therefore not centered in the bush at the shell and does not seal the entire circumference. | Break away the stay at shell of electric control module (see arrow in graphic). |
| Contacting at shell leaks. Automatic transmission fluid in wiring harness, sometimes up to ETC control module (N15/3). | Install new shell for electric control module as well as intermediate connector and O-rings. |
