ETC troubleshooting delayed engagement / no power flow in "R" and/or "D" - AD27.19-P-5006-04A

Transmission 722.6 in models 129, 140, 163, 170, 202, 208, 210

Complaint:

Delayed engagement /no power flow in "R" and/or "D"

Possible causes for faults that cannot always be reproduced	Remedy
Transmission range recognition switch (S16/10)	Replace transmission range recognition switch (S16/10) only if a test with the HHT displays an "Intermediate position" or "Fault". Fault code is no longer filed as of function software e03/f08.
Oil filter not installed	Fit oil filter.
Old engagement, results in delayed pressure build up at pistons B2 and B3	New engagement (replace ETC, EHS, parts kit). Only up to transmission end no. 23104 with function software e00, e01, f04, f06, r00, after which piston B2 is optimized.
Incorrect assignment ETC/EHS	Check assignment, correct if necessary (replace ETC or EHS). Only up to 07.96, after which assignment changed in production.
Possible causes for faults that can always be reproduced	Remedy
Internal Torx screw (M860)for piston guide B2/B3 loose or not installed	Tighten or install screws.
Shift pressure regulating solenoid valve (Y3/6y2) blocked (foreign matter)	Replace solenoid.
Modulating pressure regulating solenoid valve (Y3/6y1) blocked (foreign matter)	Replace solenoid. Only up to transmission end no. 538312, after which sieve in oil duct.
Control, shifting, or command valve blocked (foreign matter)	Check valve end position and ease of movement. If necessary, free up valve.
Check piston B2 or B3 seals for signs of damage	Replace seals.
B2/B3 disk spring circlips not in groove	Replace transmission, rinse out radiator and lines. Replace converter only if shavings are found in converter.
Circlip for output shaft's ball bearing missing or not in groove	Replace transmission, rinse out radiator and lines. Replace converter only if shavings are found in converter.
Circlips for B3 externally toothed plate not in groove	Replace transmission, rinse out radiator and lines. Replace converter only if shavings are found in converter.
Circlips for internal gear in rear planetary gear set missing or not in groove	Replace transmission, rinse out radiator and lines. Replace converter only if shavings are found in converter.
