Checking vehicle level at front and rear axles - AR40.20-P-0300FB

1	Observe general information on chassis alignment	Following repair work forcefully move vehicle up and down several times before measuring.	AR40.20-P-0201A
2	Check vehicle level at front axle	Insert measuring device (01) between the retaining bolts of the wishbone bearing.	Figure
		Position contact arm of measuring device (01) on transverse control arm and read off vehicle level value measured from center of vehicle.	*BE40.20-P-1001-02D
3	Check vehicle level at the rear axle  .	Place the swivel arm of the measuring device (02) on the inside of the spring control arm.	Figure
		Position contact arm on the rear axle shaft and read off the plumb value of vehicle level, viewed from the center of the vehicle.	*BE40.20-P-1001-03D
		Vehicle level at front or rear axle outside tolerance ↓. Adjust vehicle level by changing the springs or spring rubber mounts. Check function of level control. If OK adjust vehicle level by changing spring or spring rubber mount.
		On vehicles with level control  a vehicle level too low should not  be corrected by changing the level control connection rod (control point).
