Removing and installing injection pipes - AR07.12-P-9230H

The retaining clips (56) must be installed as shown in the illustration in order to avoid pipe fractures. Injection pipes are connected in the firing order 1-3-4-2. Order is marked on plastic cover of distributor injection pump.

	Removal, installation
1	Remove trim panel of cylinder head cover.	When installing, ensure that the leak fuel hose is correctly routed from cylinder 1 to the fuel return hose.
2.1	Remove intake manifold.	Only if all the injection pipes are removed. Engine 604, 605.91	AR09.20-P-1310H
2.2	Charge air distribution pipe	Only if all the injection pipes are removed. Engine 605.960/962	AR09.41-P-1310H
		Engine 606.961/962/964	AR09.41-P-1310HA
2.3	Resonance intake manifold	Only if all the injection pipes are removed. Engine 606.912	AR09.20-P-1961H
3	Release retaining clips (56).	Only if individual injection pipes are replaced.
4	Unscrew bolts at injection pipe bracket.	Only if all the injection pipes are removed.

5	Unscrew union nut(s) at injection pump and injection nozzle(s).	Seal off the connections at injection pump and injection nozzle(s) after removing the injection pipe.	Figure
6	Remove injection pipes.	When removing an injection pipe, the complete retaining clips (56) of the relevant line have to be replaced.

7	Install in the reverse order.
