| 1 | Disconnect ground cable (W10), connect | Models with stationary heater: set time of stationary heater. |

| 2 | Remove trim panel of control module box | ||
| 3 | Detach vacuum line (1) | Detach at rear of intake manifold. | |
| 4 | Unplug connector of control module (N3/10) | Release locking bar and separate plug connections. | |
| 5 | Unplug connector (A1) at relay module (K40/4) | ||
| 6 | Unplug connector (A2) at relay module (K40/4) | ||
| 7 | Unbolt ground cable (W16/6) next to control module box | ||
| 8 | Unbolt terminal block (X4) of circuit 30 at outside of body | Position of terminal block:
Detach cover of cable and pull off protective cap. |

| 9 | Unplug central connector (X22/2) of automatic transmission | Remove heat shield for this purpose. | |
| 10 | Unbolt engine ground (W11/5) | Fig A:
