Removing and installing engine oil cooler - AR18.30-P-1000A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removing, installing     
1 Remove left front wheel    
2 Remove bottom section of noise encapsulation at the front   AR94.30-P-5300AB
3 Remove inner wheel house liner on the left    
4 Unscrew engine oil pipes (11) from engine oil cooler (1) IMPORTANT Collect any oil which runs out  
5 Unscrew fixing bolt (12) of bumper bracket in left front fender IMPORTANT Turn bumper downwards (arrow)  
6.1 Disconnect fan motor connector (4) On vehicles with trailer coupling only  
7 Unscrew nuts of retainer (7)    
8 Remove engine oil cooler unit downwards IMPORTANTInstallation:  Pay attention to rubber grommets (6)  
9 Unplug plug (5) on temperature sensor    
10.1 Detach blower (3) On vehicles with trailer coupling only
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Replace self-locking bolts
 
11.1 Remove blower ring (2) On vehicles with trailer coupling only  
12 Pull off retaining clips (9)    
13 Remove retainer (7) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Pay attention to rubber grommets (13)  
14 Remove surrounding gasket (8) To do this, unscrew cross-head screw (10) and press locking detent (arrow) with screwdriver  
15 Install in reverse order    
16 Check and correct engine oil level IMPORTANT The engine oil cooler thermostat only opens at an engine oil temperature of 110°C, bring the engine oil temperature to 110°C so that the oil circuit is filled completely, then check and correct the engine oil level again.
