Preparing test with quiescent current retention unit - AR54.10-P-1030-01AC

1. Open engine hood.
2. Open cover on positive terminal in left component compartment.
3. Connect quiescent current retention unit (7) as follows:

   Connect positive lead (+) terminal (4) to jumper starter terminal (c. 30).

   Connect negative lead (-) terminal (5) to engine suspension eye.

4. Open window in right rear door.
5. Prepare multimeter (2) for measuring using "Electrical connection set".
6. Position multimeter test lead (6) through open window in rear door into passenger compartment.
7. Switch on quiescent current retention unit (7).

8. Remove cover on battery ground pole (W10).
9. Disconnect negative pole terminal (1) from battery.
10. Connect multimeter (2) as follows:

    Connect positive (+) test cable to battery ground (W10)

    Connect negative (-) test cable to negative pole (3) on battery.

11. Close right rear door.
12. Switch on multimeter (2) (mode amps DC).
13. Switch off quiescent current retention unit (7), disconnect and remove from engine compartment.
14. Close engine hood.
