The tilting/sliding roof (SR) is a combination of sliding roof and tilting roof. The sliding roof opens to the rear. The sliding and tilting roofs cannot be opened at the same time. They are operated via the tilting/sliding roof switch (N70s1) in the overhead control panel. Using the switch, the following functions can be triggered:

• Close tilting/sliding roof (1 or 3); the sliding roof or the tilting roof, depending on which is open, is closed.
• Open sliding roof (2); if the tilting roof is open, this is closed first.
• Open tilting roof (4); if the sliding roof is open, this is closed first

In addition, using the convenience feature, the functions

• centrally close tilting/sliding roof with convenience feature and
• centrally open tilting/sliding roof with convenience feature can be triggered.

MODELS 202 (T-Model only), 208, 210 as of 06/00:  In addition, there is also the "automatic actuation" function. If the switch is pressing over a pressure point in the "open" direction and then released, the sliding/tilting roof automatically moves upward. If another position is desired, the switch must be pressed again in the desired direction. To stop the tilting/sliding roof when it is in motion, the switch must again be pressed in the desired direction.
