The signal from the tailgate closing assist/interior light switch (A12s1) travels from the pneumatic system equipment (PSE) multi-function control module (A37) to the multi-function control module (N10) via the CAN data bus.

After a switch-on time of 5 min. the multi-function control module (N10) switches the lamps off when the door is open and the switch in the position "Door contact ON".

The lamps are switched on and off by means of a soft dimming feature.

When the tailgate is opened or closed all interior lamps (E15/2, E15/3, E25/3, E25/4) except for the entrance/exit lamps (S17/3/4/5/6) are switched on or off by the tailgate closing assist/ interior light switch (A12s1) in the tailgate closing assist (A12).

NOTE: If the pneumatic systems equipment (PSE) multi-function control module (A37) receives a message "ATA ON", the front dome lamp with reading lamp (E15/2) and rear dome lamp (E15/3) switch on when the door switch in the front dome lamp with reading lamp (E15/2) is in the "ON" position.
