Notes on positioning GPS antenna, TrafficStar - AH82.61-P-0001-02A

Model 140 and model 210 with automatic air conditioning 

On vehicles with automatic air conditioning a sun sensor (B32) is located on the instrument panel between the defroster nozzles leaving two possibilities for installing the GPS antenna.

This should be coordinated with the customer. 

Installation possibility 1: 

1. GPS antenna (2) on instrument panel on right next to sun sensor (B32).

   Antenna covers the right defroster nozzle slightly - with negative effect during front window defroster operation.

   Antenna is not centered on instrument panel.

Installation possibility 2: 

1. GPS antenna (2) between instrument cluster and speaker cover.

   Antenna affects windshield defrosting in lower left area of windshield. Slight reduction of reception level due to left A-pillar.
