| 1 | Check ease of operation and condition of accelerator control lever, linkage and bowden cable (32). | Replace parts, if necessary. | |
| Adjusting | |||
| 2 | Wide open throttle Depress accelerator pedal (24) until it is touching the kickdown switch (S16/7). |

| 3 | Turn adjusting screw (32/3) until relay lever (31/1) has reached wide open throttle stop (b). | ||
| 4 | Closed throttle position The relay lever (31/1) must be resting against closed throttle stop (a) when no pressure is applied to the accelerator. |
Turn adjusting nut (32/2) sufficiently until relay lever (31/1) is resting against closed throttle stop (a) or until no further idle travel of accelerator exists. |

| 5 | Control pressure bowden cable Slacken bolt (35/2) at the intermediate lever (35/1). |

| 6 | Press relay lever (31/2) into closed throttle position. | ||
| 7 | Operate control pressure bowden cable by means of the intermediate lever (35/1) until a clear increase in force is felt; tighten bolt (35/2). | ||
| 8 | Check setting of the control pressure bowden cable. | Detach bowden cable at intermediate lever for this step. It must be possible to press ball socket onto the ball head again without pulling. | |
| 9 | Vacuum control valve Slacken nuts (65/1). Move relay lever position sensor (31/1) to wide open throttle stop. |

| 10 | Turn vacuum control valve (65) clockwise as far as the stop; tighten nuts (65/1). |
