Installing tilting/sliding roof panel - AR77.20-P-1000-02EB

Electrically operated glass tilting/sliding roof (code 414a) 

TEST AND ADJUSTMENT VALUES FOR TILTING/SLIDING ROOF

Special tools

  1. Insert adjustment gauge (7) into holder (8) and arrest in direction of arrow.
    NOTE: The adjustment gauge (7) ensures that the holder (8) and tilting/sliding roof (1) are positioned properly when installed.

  2. Position tilting/sliding roof panel (2) and screw on nuts (3) loosely.

    NOTE: It is necessary to grind or file a notch in the installation pliers (9) to prevent the tilting/sliding roof (2) from slipping out of the installation pliers (9) when it is tensioned.

  3. Slightly tension tilting/sliding roof panel (2) with installation pliers (9) and tighten nut (3).
  4. Remove adjustment gauge (7) and installation pliers (9).
  5. Check tilting/sliding roof for proper function.
  6. Check joint gaps around closed tilting/sliding roof panel (2) from outside.
  7. Reinstall rubber bellows (6).
  8. Reinstall molding (5).
