	Remove, Install
1	Disconnect ground cable of battery	Installation: Code radio, set clock, calibrate power windows and set timer on vehicles with stationary heater	AR54.10-P-0003A
2	Remove transfer case.		AR28.10-P-0100GH
3	Unscrew nuts (11).
4	Unscrew bolts (9) from transmission and remove exhaust bracket (10)
5	Remove clip retainer (32) and take shift rod out of the gearshift lever (2)		Fig 3
6	Remove clutch slave cylinder	Do not detach the hydraulic line from the slave cylinder. Disconnect the slave cylinder. Installation: When installing the slave cylinder, make sure that the thrust pin (5) rests in the ball-shaped recess in the clutch release fork (4).	AR25.20-P-0150A
7	Use jack to support transmission (1).		*WE58.40-Z-1018-11A
8	Unscrew bolts (6) from engine block and use jack to extract the transmission (1) by simultaneously pulling backward and down.	Push retainer (7) upwards.	*BA26.10-P-1002-01A
9	Check the thrust bearing (3), clutch release fork (4) and grooved ball bearing of crankshaft
10	Check transmission oil level	Lubricant should reach to the lower edge of the filler orifice.	*BF26.10-P-1001-01A
